For those of you who don’t follow the show, the cyclon are referred to as Toasters – I guess its a derogatory term for the fact they are machines.

Now you can get the image of a toaster (cyclon) toasted on to your toast!

Yum – just back from Canada where we had the pleasure of Texas Toast. In case you don’t know, Texas Toast is like thick cut toast over here in the UK but maybe about 2 or 3 times thicker!

It is so thick that it stays untoasted on the inside even when the outside is nice and crispy.

Would be nice as French Toast I guess

To missing my morning my toast…

If we are early enough at the pool then I’ve got time before my flexi-start time expires to head to Beanscene.

Don’t know if they do straight up toast, but had a delicious toasted poppyseed bagel with cream cheese and a latte this morning before heading to the office. Nice way to start the day – now if only they did toast…

I wonder if we would be allowed a toaster at work…

Two or three times a week I head for an early morning swim and to get there as early as possible I skip my usual morning toast. Heading to work straight from the pool means I either have to take something in with me or head out to a local cafe (bacon rolls this morning – yum!).

If only we had a toaster at work I could have a supply of bread and butter in the office to still get my morning toast fix.

I still get a supper toast fix fortunately

I usually follow a strict 10 second rule – the toast has to be out of the toaster and getting spread within 10 seconds of it popping up.

However, the amazing exception to this is hotel toast. During a visit to London over the recent long weekend we always had toast with breakfast and somehow it stays warm and toast-like without ever going soggy. I think its to do with the way its kept upright in a toast rack. No need for one of them in our house though as it doesn’t usually sit about long enough…

In an effort to be a bit healthier I am cutting down on my supper toast. Instead I’ll be eating a bowl of cornflakes – makes me feel like a student again

I’m not completely giving up though – after all – I Love Toast…

Will still be munching away at breakfast and the occasional beans on toast, scrambled eggs on toast, cheese on toast etc

My missus likes her toast ‘well-fired’ bordering on burnt while I am the opposite – much rather have hot bread that is just getting a bit crispy.

Funny how we all have a preference – although seeing how I Love Toast, I will eat it no matter how it’s done

Tonight’s supper was a lovely seeded bagel instead of the usual toast. Who says I’m not adventurous and willing to try new things…

One bagel never seems to be enough though and is much harder to spread than toast. An excuse to lather too much butter on it I think
